Mission

The Chugiak Senior Center exists to provide quality services and facilities to meet the needs of seniors in our community through effective stewardship and program development.

Core Values

• We value the ability to age in place, with independent living, assisted living, and long-term care available in the same community.
• We value retention of as much independence dignity, and privacy as possible.
• We value a sense of community, of belonging, of caring for emotional needs as well as physical.
• We value knowledgeable information and referral services so that seniors and future seniors can get reliable and accurate information to help them make decisions for themselves and their loved ones.
• We value services that meet the needs of seniors in a courteous, competent, professional, and caring manner.
• We value a solvent and well-managed organization that offers seniors the security of knowing it will always be there to meet their needs at reasonable cost.
• We value a clean, cheerful, welcoming, and comfortable environment.
• We value social activities that keep seniors involved with others and the community as well as educational activities that keep seniors informed on current technologies and issues as well as fun classes and education for education's sake.
• We value outreach to the senior residents of our community unable to participate in activates and nutritional programs at our Center.
